At Samueli Academy, every student must successfully complete an internship as part of their graduation requirement. An internship embodies the interplay of exploration, reflection, and direct experience with feedback and guidance from staff, teachers, mentors, employers and peers which allows students to develop college and career readiness, success skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills. Our students are required to prepare a resume, cover letter, and portfolio leading up to their interviews for an internship opportunity. The goal is to help prepare our students for life outside of the classroom and these internships really help pave the way.
